The General Director of Turkish State Railway (TSR) Visits Our Port with the On-Site Solution Team

The on-site solution team, led by the Director General of TCDD, visited our port for the Beldeport railway freight terminal located in the middle corridor of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Metin Akbaş, the Director General of the Turkish State Railways (TSR), conducted inspections with the "On-Site Solution Team" for the construction works of the 3rd and 4th lines between Köseköy-İzmit-Gebze related to modernization and new projects in railways. He discussed the project works related to railway port connections between Gebze and Köseköy.

Accompanied by a technical team of 20 people, General Director Akbaş toured the field, received information about the progress of construction works, and provided solution proposals by contacting institutions for some issues.

General Director Metin Akbaş first inspected the Köseköy Logistics Area and then the İzmit High-Speed Train Station. He received information about the progress stages of the projects and works conducted on the 60-kilometer railway.

Giving instructions for the quick completion of the ongoing construction works at the railway bridge in Dilovası and the Diliskelesi Station, Director General Akbaş visited the Tavşancıl Station and instructed the on-site solution team for the restoration of the station.

The On-Site Solution Team later toured Beldeport and held a meeting regarding the connection line projects.

Expressing support for economic activity as TCR, General Director Metin Akbaş said, "We will connect our ports with railways. By touring the field, we identify problems on-site and produce quick solutions. We worked on new projects to provide better service to our country and our nation. We will strengthen İzmit, a city of production, in terms of logistics."

The delegation then held an evaluation meeting with the team under the "On-Site Solution" Program. Deputy Director General Turgay Gökdemir, 1st Regional Director Necmettin Acar and his deputies, Modernization Department Head Selim Bolat, railway engineers, and technical team attended the "On-Site Solution" works.
